Blocktober 2026

Below are pictures and videos of blockouts that I made during blocktober 2026. These are a mix from the Design Den blocktober event and personal projects.

Nightmare

For the level below, I was inspired by playing Control Resonant and wanted to replicate a similar level feeling and composition to the game. I wanted people to feel uneasy as they run around and feel like they are in another world as they get deeper into the building. This was made in a total of 7 hours over a week.

Coral Reef

For the level below, I wanted to the player to go under the sea and explore a coral reef to. I wanted it to like it was magical and interesting to explore. I also wanted to get into some level sequencer to make my level come alive. This was made in a total of 8 hours over a week.

Payload

For the level below, I wanted to challenge myself and make a payload map in a week. It was my first time working on a focused game mode, and I learned a lot in a short amount of time. In the end, I made a first push to a payload with a good amount of verticality and interesting spaces. This level took around 9 hours to complete.

Dune

For Dune, I originally wanted to go for a very cinematic level with camera and scripting. However, with a busy week, I didn't have much time left for blocktober and decided to make something simple. I made the throne room to give the scene of power and wonder, with the ruler giving scene of no one can touch them. Overall, this block out took me 6 hours.

Judgement

Judgement is quick greybox I did after I was inspired by some Lord of Ring Fan art. This took me about 30 mins to blockout.
